Eliana é professora adjunta do Departamento de Urbanismo e Meio Ambiente da FAU-UFRJ, onde leciona disciplinas que tratam da interlocução entre urbanismo e paisagismo. É Doutora em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, em co-tutela com a KULeuven, Bélgica (2016), no tema dos projetos urbanos e o urbanismo contemporâneo na América Latina. Sua tese recebeu o primeiro prêmio do Concurso internacional de teses de investigação Infonavit, UNAM (México) em 2018. Foca sua pesquisa no campo dos Estudos Urbanos, da História Urbana e da Experiência da cidade. Interessa-se por métodos interdisciplinares, particulamente entre os campos do urbanismo e da antropologia.

Eliana is a professor in the Urbanism Department of FAU-UFRJ, teaching courses within the fields of urbanism and landscape. She has a joint PHD in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie University and KU Leuven (2016), in which she focused on Urban Projects and Contemporary Urbanism in Latin America. Her PhD thesis, called From norm to Form: Contemporary urbanism and the materialization of the city was awarded the first prize of the 2017 International Award for Academic Thesis, promoted by UNAM and Infonavit (Mexico City, 2018). Her teaching is currently focused on the field of Urban Studies, Urban HIstory and the experience of the city.. She particularly interested in interdisciplinary methods, mainly within the fields of urbanism and anthropology.
